The DeAngelo Family

Hi everyone, we are Angela and Alexandria! Our Dad, Larry, is the proud owner of Al's Shoe Service and creator of The Cobbler Crosses. Many people who know our Dad understands how passionate he is about his shoe repair business that our Grandfather established in 1937. He takes so much pride in making sure all his customers' expectations are met and are above satisfaction.

During these uncertain times with Covid-19, our Dad Larry had kept his doors open. Unfortunately, we haven't had many customers due to many people working from home and wearing slippers to work instead of shoes!

Years ago, our Dad made us Genuine Leather Hand Crafted Crosses from the sole of a shoe that we keep close to our hearts every day! We began brainstorming creative ways to financially help our Dad's business stay in business. We put our faith in God for guidance, and instantly our crosses that we cherish came to mind.

Over the past few months, we have turned sour lemons into sweet lemonade! We've been selling these beautiful Genuine Leather handcrafted Cobbler Crosses all over the country.

This miraculous blessing has opened our creative minds to designing more options with the Crosses. As we remain hopeful that the Shoe Repair Shop will stay in business, the creation of The Cobbler Cross is a symbol of hope for a better tomorrow for us all.

Thank you in advance for your kindness and support! Many blessings of good health and happiness to everyone!

"I love my crosses and so does everyone I've given them too! It is a blessing to know you awesome SOULS with great SOLES!."    Cindy D

"I love mine! I also gave one as a gift to a young man when I baptized him, and he loves it."    David S

"I love my cross and I just sent my Mom one for her 84th Birthday. They are truly very special and such a blessing to have."    Monique B

"This is a second-generation shoe business (Al was Larry's father) and it shows. The place is fantastic! Shoe accessories fill both walls and the leather waiting chair, that I comfortably occupied while Larry recessitated my shoes, was in his dad's waiting area years ago. Everything there is historic and visually engaging. PLUS (added bonus) he is a musician and plays the flute in his own band and travels around as a guest artist playing with other noted area bands. It does not take much coaxing to get him to play a quick tune and I highly advise it! It'll be the most interesting visit to a shoe shop you've ever experienced! "   Dan H

"Awesome experience! Larry is a master of his craft and brought 2 pairs of shoes back to life! Very friendly, old-school hospitality! You won’t find a better place out there! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Thanks Larry!"  Adam S

"Larry performed a miracle on my boots. He repaired my Alden Indy boots by replacing the heel and he put a few stitches in the tongue of the boot to hold it up right. They look like new! He also replaced the heel on my Frye engineer boots. I've had both pairs of boots for over 7 years and they are restored and looking great! I cannot finish a review without mentioning Larry's talent for the flute. He played for our whole family. He's very talented and friendly.  Here's a good local business you can trust to repair quality shoes. (pro tip: If your shoes weren't good quality to start with just throw them away.) "   Josh C
